How to spend your time on Mallorca

Hi,

In my last post I already told you that I spent a week on Mallorca with a good friend of mine. We stayed in Cala Ratjada, a really common town ( at least in germany) that is located in the east of the island.
Of course we didn´t only stay in Cala Ratjada, but also made some trips, which is what I want to tell you abaout now.

Visiting Palma is something you have to do when you´re on Mallorca, which is why we went there in the first couple of days. The capital is very touristic, like all of Mallorca is.

I thought it would be similar to Eivissa, which is the capital of Ibiza with a nice old town and a beautiful port. Even though there are many old buildings in Palma and there is a port, it is rather similar to other eupopean cities like Madrid, Barcelona or Berlin.

Anyways we saw many beautiful little streets,  squares and of course churches.

We spent nearly 10 hours walking through Palma, shopping and sitting down to have a snack or drink and watch the other tourists.

Capdepera is a small, old and very calm village that is located on a mountain next to Cala Ratjada. There are many beautiful streets, old builings and also some restaurants, but leaa tourists that in Cala Ratjada.

On the top of the mountain there is a castle called "Castell de Capdepera", which was the aim of our tour.

But also the way up the mountain through the cute streets, past the beautiful buildings and a few retaurants was beautiful. Anyways the old castle and especially the view you have from there were amazing.

Besides the view the story of the castle is told in english, german and spanish and itś quite interesting. It was a really nice tripand I would advise everyboy who goes there to make it.

 Bootstour

Boattrip:

If you want to stay in Cala ratjada, there are also many different ways to spent you day and there are many promoters who tell you about the different activities. I would advise you to listen to at least a few of them before booking something.

We decided to do the "Aqua-fun boattrip". It´s kind of a partyboat, it has a sun deck
and a waterbridge where you can also do stand up paddeling. The whole trip is 4 hours and costs 45 Euros, food and drinks included- that what the promoters told us.

The boat itself was small and not really beautiful, also was the sun deck. Anyways we layed down and jumped into the water, when we first stoped in a beautiful bay. When they told us to go back on the boat, we had some food from the buffet, that was opened when we stoped.
I haven´t had any meat, but there were different salads which were really good and lots of melon.

Also there was lots of sangria, water and beer. The waterbridge was disappointing, though-jut some polystrene mats knottd together. - and so was the stand ups-paddeling kit- polystrene baord on which you couldn´t stand up and a kayaking paddel.
Anyways the trio was great fun and I´d reccomend it.
We met many nice people and saw amazing bays.

There is also antoher partyboattrip that you in Cala Ratjada, with a catarmaran. It´s 60Euros and there´s not "fun-equipment". The boat looked way better than ours, but I don´t now anything about there trip. If someone has participated, I´d love you to comment down below ho you liked it.
