Erawan Waterfalls

One of my personal highlights of our Thailand-journey were the Erawan Waterfalls.
Of course, that´s what you think after every single day-at least in the best case szenario- but even though every day was more beautiful and special than the previous one, the Erawan Waterfall are still one of our most breathtaking experiences.

The Erawan Nationalpark are located next toKanchanaburi. We took the first bus at 8
o´clock and it took us more or less 1,5 hrs to get there.
I would really recommend to take that bus, because at that time there are hardly any tourists and you can enjoy the beauty of the national park.

After we left the bus, we had to walk for about ten minutes to see the first step of the waterfall. Even the walk was really beautiful, since we were in the middle of a rainforest and heard birds that we only knew from the zoo.
We didn´t took a bath at the first step of the waterfall, even though you can have a bath at every step. But after having a quick look, we kept walking. and admiring the beauty of the forest. We even saw a monkey and a caiman.
The waterfall and the forest are incredily beautiful, it´s impossible to capture that in pictures(even though I tried)
Since you have to hand in snacks and they noted down how many waterbottles we took with us, there´s no plastic laying around, which is awesome in my opinion.

Taking a bath in the basins was a highlight itself. Branches like vines on which you can lay down or sit for a while and stones which you can use as slides to get into the water. Like a natural Waterpark.
What I thought was pretty cool was that there are little fishes that eat your horny skin, which is tickeling at the beginning, but I have never had softer feet that in that evening.

  1. wow, was für tolle Fotos.
