Our trip to Mallorca

Halli hallo meine Lieben,

Hi babes,

I just came back from Mallorca and I already miss the good weather, becaus here, in Hamburg the weahter is really bad. With a really good friend of mine I spent the last 8 days in Cala Ratjada on Mallorca and now I´d like to tell you somehing about our trip.

Unser Hostel

Our hostel
My friend and me were in agreement about the fact that we neither needed an expensive hotel nor all-inclusive food and drinks. We would spend a lot of time in the hotel and wanted to be flexible about the food. So our only criteria where the cleanness and the location of our accomodation and we took one of the cheapest we could find.

The Hostel Ca´n Gallu didn´t disappoint us-quite the opposite. When we arrived we were welcomed by a beautiful little entry and a nice host, who even speaks a little german. The stairwell and our room were simple, but not bare and looked quite nice and really clean.
At nighttime it was a noisy, because Cala Ratjada is, beside the Ballermann, one of Mallorca´s most common partyspots.

Breakfast was included and really good. There were crossaints, chocolate-buns, buns, muesli, chocolate-muesli, tea, coffee, orange juice and dfferent kinds of spread every day.

Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada
Cala ratjada, the town we lived in, is one of the most common partyspots on mallorca, like I already mentioned. There are 3 big discos and many small bars, in which you can also smoke shisha.
Furthermore there are many restaurants, in which you can eat while looking at the port or the sea. My favourite was Negresco, which is located at the port. We had this awesome Paella there.

Of course there are also beaches in Cala Ratjada. We used to got to Son Moll Beach, a little, tidy, but also very touristic beach. It was crowded, like nearly he whole island is.
If you go to Mallorca you need to be aware of the fact that there are many germans. It was a new experience for me to go on vacation to a foreign country and be able to speak german to everyone.
